I read somewhere in my many attempts to find a solution that the MS Plug and Play system was replaced by a universal version of this feature (UPNP?) The problem is that it is a Plug-and-Play device, and no driver was needed before updates. My external hard drive to IDE, that worked perfectly before on this computer (newer), is no longer recognized and want to reinstall the driver. Now, I encountered a new problem, and I think that it is also a result of Windows Update. Before the updates, the file exists, and I could install MS money.

INF for some new and improved files through Windows Update. (planned obsolescense?) The issue has to do with the removal of the registry AUTORUN file. In a series of accidents with an old computer and reinstall the XP Pro operating system, I discovered that MS Money installing only if it was made before the Windows updates. I think that using Windows Update can cause problems (unintentinally or not) for users of Windows XP.
